If you’re a bride-to-be, congratulations! Your wedding day is sure to be one of the most special and memorable days of your life. As you begin to plan for your big day, one important aspect to consider is your skincare routine. After all, your skin will be on full display on your wedding day, and you want to ensure that it looks and feels its best.

But how can you prepare your skin for your wedding day makeup? First and foremost, it’s important to start trying to improve any skin concerns at least six months before the big day. This may seem like a long time, but it takes time and commitment to achieve real results. By starting early, you’ll have plenty of time to address any issues and get your skin looking its best.

After over a decade as a bridal makeup artist, owner of The Lovely Artistry Collective, Emily Blake, opened a skincare boutique in Columbus, Ohio where she focuses on acne and age management. Lovely Skin is a corrective skincare clinic helping clients achieve their skin goals through a variety of treatments such as; acne bootcamp, dermaplaning, fire & ice facial, dermal-infusion, skin classic and more! As a proud iS Clinical partner, Lovely Skin in Columbus, Ohio offers the exclusive custom and targeted iS Clinical facials that are raved about in magazines such as their signature red carpet facial, The Fire & Ice Facial.

Makeup Is Not A Magic Wand
It is important to understand that all skin has texture, and makeup is not a magic wand that can cover texture. Our team has worked with thousands of brides the last decade, and if there’s a common myth we bust the most – it is definitely that makeup hides texture. Unfortunately, makeup does not cover texture. However, there are many things you can do before the most photographed day of your life if you want to reduce the visibility of texture or pigmentation issues.

The Importance of Home Care If You Want Results
At Lovely Skin, we offer a variety of corrective skincare treatments that can help brides who have issues with pigmentation, aging, and acne and more. While working together, we can assist you in prescribing a home care routine designed specifically for your skin. It’s also a good idea to invest in proper home care products, as these can help you get results more quickly. Remember, results are achieved through a combination of in-clinic treatments (which make up about 20% of your results) and home care (which makes up the remaining 80%).

Dermaplaning For Ultimate Glowy Skin
If you’re a bride-to-be that is already ahead of the game when it comes to taking care of her skin, there are treatments that can still assist in helping your skin achieve the ultimate bridal glow. The most popular service for pre-wedding day skin prep is dermaplaning. Results are immediate and there is zero down time. Take a look at one of the clients of Skin haven after just ONE dermaplane treatment. Pro Tip – If you decide to invest in dermaplaning before your wedding, we highly recommend ensuring you try dermaplaning at least 2 months before the wedding to ensure no reaction – and then you can do it a few days before the wedding. It’s important to note we also recommend doing your treatments with the same provider to ensure ultimate results as some providers may use different techniques, methods, pressure and products which could cause a reaction you were not expecting.

[WARNING: GLOWY SKIN AHEAD]

If You Suffer with Acne
At Lovely Skin in Lewis Center, Ohio, an incredible life changing Acne Bootcamp is offered. Owner Emily Blake saw a true need to help her brides improve their skin conditions to ensure complete confidence on their wedding day. Lovely Skin’s Acne Bootcamp program generally produces results in 3-4 months depending on your type of acne. Below you can see results for one of their acne bootcamp clients who had tremendous results because she was committed to her home care. An additional benefit of the acne program offered is that acne on the body can also be targeted including the back, chest and arms – which make this options fantastic for brides who are wearing a wedding dress with these parts exposed.
